Sylvain M. Audette

Professor Audette has over 25 years’ experience in market intelligence, stimulating reflection and the implementation of innovative strategies and tactics. He is a member of the Chair in Energy Sector Management at HEC Montréal and has been teaching market intelligence, regulation, pricing and energy sector issues for the BAA, MBA, DESS in Sustainable Development and full-time Certificate programs since 2013. Prior to 2013, he held senior management positions as Director of Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Pricing, Energy Efficiency Program Management and Demand Forecasting at Gaz Métro. In addition to teaching his courses in Montreal and internationally, Audette frequently appears before public bodies as an expert advisor. His practical experience as an industry manager, combined with his theoretical and academic knowledge, has led him to write reports on energy sector issues, and he regularly mentors master’s students in many sectors and industries, including the energy sector.
