Stéphan Gagnon

Mr. Stéphan Gagnon is the Waste heat recovery Coordinator at Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs.

A pioneer in Waste heat recovery (WHR), he coordinates Quebec’s efforts to develop this energy sector, including the Valorisation des rejets thermiques financial assistance program, mandatory thermal waste reporting, the interactive thermal waste map, and WHR research projects.

Over the course of his career, this engineer has published several technical works, including the Design Guide for a High-Performance Building, How to Calculate the Value of a Complete Energy-Efficient Renovation, and How to Implement Energy Management in Buildings. He has also designed and implemented major energy efficiency projects while working in real estate operations and consulting engineering.
