Sophie Turcotte

Sophie Turcotte completed a B.Sc. (1998) and an M.Sc. in Earth Sciences in structural geology at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in 2001. She worked as a geologist in the mining industry before joining the MRNF’s Direction de restauration des sites miniers in 2011 as a project manager. She is coordinator of the restoration of active mine sites and participates in various projects of the Ministère’s environmental mining liabilities, including the restoration of the former Manitou mine site.
