Sophie Turcotte

Sophie Turcotte completed a bachelor’s degree (1998) and a Master of Science in structural geology at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi in 2001. She worked as a geologist in the mining industry before joining the Mining Site Reclamation Directorate of the MRNF in 2011 as a project manager. She coordinates the reclamation of active mining sites and participates in various projects related to the Ministry’s mining environmental liabilities, including the reclamation of the former Manitou mining site.
