Serge Perreault

Holder of a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in geology from the Université de Montréal, Serge Perreault worked for more than 17 years at Québec’s Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources Naturelles as a regional geologist, resident geologist in the Sept-Îles and Montréal offices and assistant to the director general of Géologie Québec in Val-d’Or. Mr. Perreault’s career then continued at SOQUEM as senior project manager, senior geoscientist and then acting CEO (from February 2020 to January 2021).

Actively retired since April 2021, Mr. Perreault was elected director of the Ordre des géologues du Québec in May 2021 and has served as chair of this institution since February 2023. He was a lecturer in geology for the college diploma in mineral resource geology at the Centre d’études collégiales de Chibougamau from January 2022 to September 2024, contract research officer at URSTM-UQAT from November 2022 to August 2025, and member of SOQUEM’s Technical Committee between April 2021 and March 2026. Since January 2026, Mr. Perreault has served as technical advisor – geology at Consolidated Lithium Metals. He sits on the scientific committee of the Réseau MCS and, since October 2025, has served as chair of the board of directors of the Orchestre symphonique régional de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
