Serge Perreault

Ordre des géologues du Québec

Serge Perreault holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in geology from the Université de Montréal. He worked for more than 17 years at the Quebec Department of Energy and Natural Resources as a regional geologist, a geologist-in-residence in the Sept-Îles and Montreal offices, and an assistant to the general manager of Géologie Québec in Val-d’Or. Later, at SOQUEM, Mr. Perreault was appointed Senior Project Manager, Senior Geoscientist, and Interim Executive Director (from February 2020 to January 2021). After retiring in April 2021, Mr. Perreault was elected a director of the Ordre des géologues du Québec in May of that year and has served as the institution’s president since February 2023. He was a lecturer in geology for the Attestation of College Studies program in Mineral Resources Geology at the Centre d’études collégiales de Chibougamau from January 2022 to September 2024, a contract research officer at URSTM-UQAT from November 2022 to August 2025, and a member of SOQUEM’s technical committee from April 2021 to March 2026. Since January 2026, Mr. Perreault has been a technical advisor in geology at Consolidated Lithium Metals. He sits on the scientific committee of the MCS Network and, since October 2025, he has chaired the board of directors of the Orchestre symphonique régional de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
