Romain Prêcheur

RioTinto Fer et Titane

During the first 12 years of his career, Romain Prêcheur held various roles of increasing responsibility that led him to work across the integrated mining value chain from mine to ship at ArcelorMittal Mines and Infrastructures Canada, in the Côte-Nord region. Today, Romain is the general manager of mine installations at Rio Tinto Fer et Titane – Opérations Québec in Havre-Saint-Pierre.

Holder of an engineering degree in chemistry and physics from the Graduate School of
Material Sciences, Food Science and Chemistry (Ensmac) in Bordeaux, France, Romain moved to Port-Cartier in the Côte-Nord region in 2012. Along with his professional career, he has been involved with the Canadian Mineral Processors (CMP) for the Côte-Nord & Labrador regional branch since 2018, serving as its chair since 2023.
