Pierre-Olivier Richard

Pierre-Olivier Richard began his career with Agnico Eagle nearly 10 years ago, acquiring valuable expertise in various aspects of underground mining. He began his career as a mining engineer at the Goldex Mine, where he was responsible for ventilation and short-term planning. He then moved to the Support and Development Center (SDC) as Engineering Coordinator, where he was involved in resource and reserve estimation, as well as project assessment. During this period, he also demonstrated his commitment to developing his management and leadership skills by pursuing graduate studies at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), earning an MBA in 2018.

In October 2020, he joined the Odyssey Mine team as Assistant Superintendent of Engineering. Since May 2022, he has held the position of Mining Engineering Superintendent, as well as being actively involved in the Mine Rescue Team. With his skills in project evaluation and mine production management, he is an invaluable asset for the future of the Odyssey Mine.
