Nicolas Laflamme

MEIE

Nicolas Laflamme has nearly 30 years of experience related to forestry and energy in the private, public, and parapublic sectors. He has served as Special Assistant to the Office of the Minister of Natural Resources of Canada for forestry and mining issues. As a forestry engineer, he also worked in business development and financing in the forestry and geomatics technology sectors at SGF REXFOR. At the Québec Energy Efficiency Agency (Department of Energy and Natural Resources), Nicolas held the position of Bioenergy Program Manager. His interest in the general development of the energy sector in Quebec then led him to accept the position of Executive Assistant to the Associate Deputy Minister of Energy (Department of Energy and Natural Resources, and Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Energy). Mindful of the need to meet demands associated with both climate change and economic development, Nicolas remains focused on applying his expertise in biomass supply and business financing to the strategic development of emerging energy sectors such as green hydrogen and bioenergy.
