Nancy Perreault

A graduate of McGill University in Environmental Microbiology, Dr. Nancy Perreault has been a research officer at the National Research Council of Canada in Montréal since 2008. She became head of the Environmental Microbial Processes group in the Energy, Mines and Environment Department in 2021. Her research interests include the development of biotechnologies for mineral carbonation, the recovery of critical and strategic minerals from mining and metallurgical tailings, and biological extraction technologies. Through her research, she contributes to NRC’s Clean Production program, which supports the energy transition of the mining and steel industries.
