Mathieu Bouchard
Mathieu brings nearly 25 years of experience across the public and private sectors. A lawyer by training, he holds degrees from McGill University and the University of Cambridge. He began his career practicing civil, commercial and constitutional litigation, appearing before courts up to the Supreme Court of Canada.
From 2015 to 2016, he served in the federal government, first as a senior advisor to the Prime Minister and later as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Canadian Heritage. Upon returning to Montréal, he joined KPMG as Executive Director and Energy and Natural Resources Leader.
For the past two years, he has served as Vice-President, Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Deep Sky, a company developing and operating projects focused on atmospheric carbon removal through capture and sequestration.
Actively involved in his community, Mathieu is Chair of the Conseil des arts de Montréal and serves on the boards of the Montreal Port Authority and the Le Chaînon Foundation. He is also a member of the Sustainability and Social Responsibility Committee of McGill University’s Board of Governors.
