EIT Raw Materials

Massimo Gasparon is Director of ERMA – the European Raw Materials Alliance (erma.eu) at EIT RawMaterials, the world’s largest raw materials consortium, initiated and co-financed by the European Union through the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology). ERMA’s aim is to secure the supply of sustainable raw materials for Europe’s industrial ecosystems. Mr. Gasparon coordinates the activities of over 1,500 stakeholders and an investment portfolio of over €14 billion. He holds a PhD in geochemistry from the University of Tasmania and prior to joining EIT RawMaterials in 2017, was an academic at the University of Queensland’s School of Earth Sciences.
