Martin Gagnon

Mr. Martin Gagnon holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from McGill University. He joined the Société du Plan Nord in May 2023 as Director of the Business Development Office. In this role, he helps maximize the benefits of public and private contracts by fostering lasting business relationships between suppliers and contracting entities. Additionally, he participates in efforts to attract investors and supports regional economic stakeholders in their development projects, working in collaboration with the relevant ministries, agencies and other divisions of the Société du Plan Nord.

Over the past 35 years, Mr. Gagnon has carried out a number of projects for small, medium-sized and large companies. This has enabled him to gain extensive experience in administrative management, operations, business development and fundraising. His previous roles included Managing Director at PBI Industries, a start-up company manufacturing packaging equipment, and at Groupe Démex-Centrem, which operates in the construction and recycling sectors. Mr. Gagnon gained extensive expertise in business information systems while working as a consultant at Accenture and as director of production management systems at Kraft Foods.
