Martin Duclos

Sayona

Martin Duclos is Director of Health, Safety and Environment at Sayona’s Eeyou-Istchee Bais-James Hub.
As part of his duties, Duclos is responsible for the development and progressive implementation of health, safety and environment management systems ensuring compliance with existing authorizations and applicable health, safety and environment requirements consistent with Sayona’s ESG framework. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to obtain permits and authorizations, including the completion of an environmental and social impact assessment for the Moblan mining project.
Duclos has over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry, having held management positions in environment, sustainable development and First Nations relations with Yamana Gold Québec, Partenariat Canadian Malartic and Goldcorp Mine Éléonore. In these roles, he was responsible for authorization strategies and their implementation, First Nations relations, implementation of ESG management systems and site reclamation. Previously, he worked for SNC-Lavalin and the Ministère de l’environnement du Québec.
