Marjolaine Bessette

Marjolaine Bessette has been employed by the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MRNF) since 2011. Throughout her career with the Ministry, she has held a variety of positions, including Advisor, Coordinator, and Assistant Director within both the Secteur de la faune and the Secteur du territoire.

In May 2022, she was appointed Manager of the Mineral Rights Management Service within the Secteur des mines of the MRNF. In this role, she is responsible for the administration of mineral titles, the integrity of the Public Register of Real and Immovable Mining Rights, and oversight of mining rights compliance and control.

Ms. Bessette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, a Certificate in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and a Graduate Diploma in Organizational Change Management from Université Laval. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
