
Marcel Laflamme
Marcel Laflamme has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. He joined InnovExplo, now Norda Stelo, in 2018. He is recognized for his abilities in team management and technological innovation, as well as his versatility in mining engineering. At InnovExplo, he primarily focuses on mandates related to economic studies, as well as the conception, optimization and planning of open-pit and underground mines. He also contributes to engineering studies.
Mr. Laflamme obtained a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from Université Laval in 1981, a master’s degree in mining engineering from Université Laval in 1985, and a doctorate in mining engineering from Université Laval in 1990.
Before joining InnovExplo, Marcel Laflamme worked for Université Laval in the mining engineering department as a lecturer, teaching assistant, assistant professor and associate professor. He also worked for Natural Resources Canada as a research scientist and regional director of Green Mining Technology in Val-d’Or. He was also a research scientist for the Mineral Research Centre in the Mineral Technology Department.
