Marc Leblanc

Marc Leblanc has been Director General of Géologie Québec at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts since the end of 2020. Prior to joining Géologie Québec, he worked in the forestry sector. Mr. Leblanc obtained a bachelor’s degree in forest resource management from Université Laval in 1993. He obtained a master’s degree in forest sciences from the same university in 1998. From 1998 to 2001, he worked in the forestry industry in La Tuque. He joined the Ministère des Ressources naturelles in 2001 and was highly involved in the development and implementation of ecosystem-based forest management in Quebec. From 2014 to 2020, he successively held the positions of Head of the Management Orientations Service, Director of Forest Protection and Director of Forest Management and Environment.
