Manon Valette

Manon Valette obtained a bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences in Toulouse, France. As well as a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences at UQAM (under the supervision of Alain Tremblay), the subject of which was the structural study of an orogenic gold deposit in the Appalachians. Since 2016, she has been a PhD student at UQAM (under the supervision of Stéphane De Souza and Patrick Mercier-Langevin) and employed part-time with Agnico Eagle. Her research focuses on the geology and genesis of the Amaruq deposit as a whole. At Agnico, she is part of Olivier Côté-Mantha’s geoscience team, which supports the company’s various projects. Her specialties are structural geology, metallogeny, geochemistry and, above all, the Tundra!
