Kimberly Darlington

Kimberly has been a communications, public relations and investor relations consultant for Focus Graphite for over three years. She is president and founder of Refined Substance, a communications agency specializing in services for companies in the mining industry, especially exploration companies with projects in Quebec, who require services in both official languages.

Kimberly has over two decades of experience in marketing, communications, investor relations and public relations across a range of industries. She founded Refined Substance in 2012 to offer her expertise to the mining industry. Refined Substance takes the substance of the key messages mining companies seek to communicate and refines them to ensure they resonate with their target audiences, be they investors, employees, communities, media, or other stakeholders. Based in Montreal, Refined Substance now has a team of 7 people, some in Montreal and others working remotely from locations around the world.

Kimberly has served as a director on a number of non-profit boards, and was president of the Montreal chapter of Women in Mining, where she continues to sit on the organizing committee.
