Kim Cornelissen
Kim Cornelissen is an urban planner by training with extensive experience in sustainable development in rural communities. In 2008, she received the award for Best Master’s Thesis from the Institut de recherche en économie contemporaine for her research on the relevance of public-private partnerships for sustainable development, examining a collaboration involving Volvo, the City of Gothenburg in Sweden, and a dozen partners.
She is currently working with the Municipality of Deschambault-Grondines to reposition its large-scale industrial park as an eco-industrial park. The initiative prioritizes the aluminum and renewable energy sectors, including bioenergy, with a focus on fostering industrial synergies.
She also contributes to various committees, bringing her expertise in renewable energy and her in-depth knowledge of Scandinavian approaches and ecosystems.
