Katrie Bergeron

MRNF

Katrie Bergeron holds a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from Université Laval and has been a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec since 2001. She worked for environmental consultants before joining the MRNF’s mineral industry development branch in 2009.

Bergeron’s achievements within the Ministry include the implementation and management of research and development programs for the mining sector, as well as the creation and management of tools for monitoring Quebec’s mines and mining projects. Among other things, she is responsible for a database on active mines and mining projects, a management tool that has become essential to the MRNF, and two documents of public interest, the Cadre normatif, a compendium of laws and regulations applying to the mining sector, and a reworking of the mineral development process.
