Joe Lance

Well-known for his social and organizational commitment, Joë has over 25 years of management experience in parapublic and private organizations. Visionary and passionate, he has been putting his mobilizing leadership at the service of the Inuit of Nunavik for nearly three decades, having lived in the territory for nearly 20 years.

Over the course of his career, Joë has held important positions as a senior manager with the Kativik Regional Government and Makivik Corporation. He made his mark by his keen sense of analysis of complex issues and his skills in strategic planning, government relations and business development.

Since 2019, Joë has been leading the start-up and development of a new Nunavik-owned company, Tarquti Energy, which carries out clean energy projects tailored to the needs and interests of the region’s Inuit communities in partnership with local landholding corporations and cooperatives.
