Jocelyn Bouchard
Jocelyn Bouchard began his career at the Niobec Mine in 2005, before going on to join Xstrata Process Support in 2007 and GENIVAR in 2010. A professor at Université Laval since 2012, he held the Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. and ArcelorMittal Mines Chair in Mineral Processing Engineering Education until 2017. His areas of expertise include phenomenological modelling and simulation, as well as the control and optimization of mineral processing and pharmaceutical processes. Currently Director of the Université Laval E4m Centre. Mr. Bouchard was also a visiting scholar in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom in 2019-2020. In 2014, the Canadian Mineral Processing Society awarded him the Bill Moore Award, which honours the outstanding contribution of a mineral processing professional under the age of 35.
