Jérôme Gouin

Avenia

Doctorate in Sedimentary Geology from the University of Orléans, with a specialization in mining and deposits metallurgy associated with organic matter (i.e. Polish Kupferschiefer, Talvivaara in Finland).

He worked as a Metallogenist-Geologist at BRGM from 2005 to 2014, on precious metals, base metals and critical metals projects in France and Europe, West and Central Africa, as well as in French Polynesia.

He then worked as a Geologist/Project Manager for the Exclusive Exploration License for the “Saint-Pierre” gold and silver mine (Maine-et-Loire, France) belonging to Variscan Mines SAS, from 2014 to 2018.

R&D project manager for Innovation Mines & Quarries, Geotechnics at the AVENIA hub since 2019. Co-leads the aLiNA territory programme, led by AVENIA and supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, on securing supplies of mineral raw materials for industries in France and Europe.
