Israel Gauthier

Israel Gauthier is the Health, Safety and Environment Director at Westwood, an IAMGOLD mine. A metallurgical engineer by training, he has more than 25 years of experience in the mining and metals industry. Throughout his career, he has held various positions with Glencore and IAMGOLD, developing extensive expertise in health and safety, project management, emergency response, environmental management, and mine site reclamation. At IAMGOLD, Israel plays a key role in implementing the company’s health, safety, and environmental management systems. He provides technical leadership and actively contributes to the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives in environmental performance, health, and workplace safety.
