Ian Morissette

Mr. Ian Morissette has been associate deputy minister of Mines at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts since February 2024.

A senior executive and diplomat with extensive experience both in Québec and abroad, he has served as vice-president of sustainable development and partnerships in northern territories at the Société du Plan Nord, assistant deputy minister of policies and state-owned enterprises at the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, delegate responsible for francophone and multilateral affairs for Québec in Paris, and director of political and public affairs at the Québec Government Office in London.

Mr. Morissette holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in international relations from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
