Hélène Legros

MRNF

Hélène has an engineering degree specialized in Mines and Quarries from UniLaSalle (France) as well as a PhD in economic geology from Université de Lorraine (France). Her PhD thesis was on tungsten mineralization in SE China. She then worked four years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta (Canada). Her first project was on W skarns from the Canadian cordillera. Then, she worked on critical metals from mantle rocks from the Superior craton with the Metal Earth project. Hélène is specialized in the understanding of the mobility of rare metals in magmatic-hydrothermal systems. She now works with MRNF and UQAC to understand Nb-REE mineralization associated with carbonatites in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean area.
