Gaétan Veillette

Gaétan Veillette earned a bachelor’s degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Université Laval in 1996. From 1997 to 2019, he held various operational roles—ranging from production metallurgist to surface operations superintendent—in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean regions. In 2019, he joined the MRNF as a project engineer within the branch responsible for mine site rehabilitation and environmental liabilities, and has served as Director of that same branch since 2025.
