François R. Doucet

François R. Doucet, Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Sc., LSO, chemist, CEO

François R. Doucet obtained his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in analytical chemistry from the Université de Montréal under the supervision of Prof. Joseph Hubert. He has over 25 years of experience in laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), chemometrics and machine learning. He worked for the National Research Council Canada (NRC-NRCC) for 11 years before becoming CEO and co-founder of ELEMISSION inc. since 2014. Dr. Doucet is an expert in atomic emission, laser ablation, elemental and molecular spectroscopy, chemometrics, nuclear forensics and process chemistry, as well as applied microanalysis. He is co-author of several active patents and peer-reviewed articles.
