Donald Leroux

Donald Leroux is a process engineer and Director of Innovation at 1823 Consultants.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in the development and implementation of numerous new technologies in ore processing plants. He has worked in operating plants, innovation centers, engineering firms and technological development companies, often in strategic positions with a high level of responsibility. These experiences have exposed him to a wide range of innovative technologies and operational practices.

Mr. Leroux obtained a PhD from Université Laval (in collaboration with CSIRO, Australia) in 1994 for his work on mineral liberation. He was a major contributor to the posthumous edition of Gilles Barbery’s book, and to the preparation of over 30 technical articles. He was president of the Canadian Minerals Processors (CMP) and co-chair of the technical program at IMPC 2016. He is currently Treasurer of the CIM – Quebec Chapter.
