Dominique Lascelles

Dominique has approximately 20 years of experience in mineral processing with SGS Canada, where she currently serves as Director, Technical Services (Mineral Processing), North America. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Mineral Processing from McGill University.

Dominique has extensive expertise in the management of flotation and mineral processing projects, as well as in the development of flotation testing capabilities. She began her career at the Lakefield laboratory in Ontario and has also worked at several SGS locations, including supporting operations in South Africa, Chile and Mexico, and managing the metallurgy groups in Burnaby and Québec City.

Dominique currently serves as Secretary of the Mineral Science and Engineering Section of the Metallurgy and Materials Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (MetSoc). She is an industry partner of First Phosphate in the development of its apatite project in the Saguenay region and was co-lead of Workshop 5 on first, second and third transformation, organized by the Réseau scientifique MCS.

Dominique was named Mineral Processor of the Year 2024 by the Canadian Mineral Processors Society of CIM.
