Cynthia Marchildon

Cynthia Marchildon holds a B.Sc. in geography and an M.Sc. in geographic sciences from Université Laval (Centre d’études nordiques). As part of her career, she worked for a consulting firm specializing in the rehabilitation of contaminated sites in northern environments. Between 2011 and 2022, she held various positions at the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs, mainly in the field of environmental assessment for energy, mining, northern and road projects. Since 2022, she has been the head of the Service de la gestion des sites miniers abandonnés for the Direction de la restauration des sites miniers at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts. Marchildon has also been a member of the Kativik Environmental Quality Commission since 2018.
