Christian Polak
Orano Mining
Christian Polak graduated from the Nancy Engineering School of Geology as a Geologist Engineer in 1986 and is Senior Advisor at ORANO Mining in Strategy & Partnership.
He joined the AREVA group in 2004, Responsible for Front-End Sales to Northern America and in December 2006, the newly formed Business Development and Strategy unit within ORANO Mining.
Since 2023, he has been the Chairman of the Uranium Group (Red Book) at the IAEA.
Since 2025, he has been the President of the French Industrial Minerals Association (SIM) in Paris.
Since 2026, he has been the Chair of the Uranium Sub-Group at the World Nuclear Association (WNA).
Prior to joining ORANO, Christian worked from Switzerland in rare and critical metals.
