Charles Beaudry

Mining entrepreneur with over 45 years’ experience in project generation, business development, exploration geochemistry and international project management, Charles Beaudry was involved in several deposit discoveries during his career with Noranda / Falconbridge / Xstrata from 1989 to 2006 and held the position of Brazil Director from 1996 to 2001.  In 2008-2009, he was Director of New Markets for Iamgold, where he led the search for new gold acquisition opportunities.  From 2010 to 2013, he was founding president of Xmet Inc. and led a team that defined an 850,000-ounce, NI43-101-compliant, gold deposit in Abitibi, Quebec.  Since 2018 he has led QC Copper & Gold Inc.’s work in Quebec and was the driving force behind the Opémiska project in Chapais, which delivered over 100M tonnes of copper-gold ore in a conceptual pit in 2021.  Since then, he has been working to establish a new high-quality resource that will accompany the project in its future development.
