Carolane Lévesque
Carolane Lévesque is defence director for Québec’s Sector-Based Industrial Research Clusters (RSRI), a strategic mandate led by the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec (CRIAQ). In this role, she is responsible for strengthening Québec’s collaborative research and innovation ecosystem in defence and national security.
Holding a master’s degree in psychiatry from McGill University, Carolane has a background at the intersection of research, strategic communications and government affairs. She has notably worked in university research and healthcare before holding several positions in ministers’ offices, where she was responsible for key economic portfolios in science, research and innovation, international relations and defence.
Her versatile background gives her a natural ability to build bridges across sectors, a strength she has brought to CRIAQ since April 2026 to support collaborative defence research and engage Québec stakeholders in advancing Canadian technological sovereignty.
