Anne Racine
Ms. Anne Racine assumed the position of Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Forests on September 5, 2023. She previously served as Deputy Minister of Labour starting on October 20, 2022. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Minister, she held various Assistant Deputy Minister positions within the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale (MTESS): Assistant Deputy Minister for the Secteur du travail from 2018 to 2022 (acting appointment until February 27, 2019), and then Assistant Deputy Minister for the Secteur des services à la gestion et des ressources informationnelles from 2022 to 2023. Before she was appointed as Assistant Deputy Minister, she was the General Director of Social Solidarity and Community Action at the MTESS since 2016.
From 2010 to 2018, she held various management responsibilities within the MTESS related to policy development and intergovernmental relations.
Ms. Racine began her career in the public administration in 2001 with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), and then with the Ministère du Conseil exécutif as an intergovernmental relations advisor. She was also a labour relations advisor at the MSSS.
Ms. Racine holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Université Laval and a master’s degree in public administration from the École nationale d’administration publique. She also holds a diploma in administration from the École nationale d’administration (France).
