Adina Bogatu

Adina earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from Université Laval, and subsequently a Ph.D. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Her M.Sc. research focused on orogenic gold mineralization hosted by an Algoma-type iron formation at the Orfée prospect in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region. Her doctoral research investigated the structure, geochemistry, and geochronology of ophiolites from both the Canadian Cordillera and the Albanian Dinarides. Since joining the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MRNF) in 2024, she has been working to better understand the distribution and genesis of graphite mineralization within the Central Metasedimentary Belt of the Grenville Province, with a particular focus on the Outaouais region of Québec.
