Adina Bogatu

MRNF

Adina obtained a B.Sc. specialized in Geology from the University of Ottawa, an M.Sc. from Université Laval, and is currently completing her Ph.D. at UQAM. Her master’s thesis focused on the metallogeny of Orfée, an orogenic gold prospect located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay area in the Superior Province. Her doctoral research focuses on slow-spreading ridge ophiolites in British Columbia, Yukon, and Albania. Adina has also worked in exploration in the James Bay area and Nunavut. She has gained expertise in mapping, structural geology, tectonics, and metallogeny, and has also worked on B isotopes in serpentinites. She joined the MRNF (UQAM) in January 2024 as an industrial minerals specialist, where she is beginning projects on industrial minerals in the Grenville Province.
