Adina Bogatu

MRNF

Adina holds a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in geology from the University of Ottawa, a master’s degree in Earth Sciences from Université Laval, and a PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her master’s research focused on orogenic gold mineralization hosted in an Algoma-type banded iron formation (Orfée area, Eeyou Istchee James Bay). Her doctoral studies explored the structure, geochemistry, and geochronology of ophiolites in both the Canadian Cordillera and the Albanides of Albania. She has been working at the MNRF for over a year, where she collects scientific data on industrial minerals, with a particular focus on graphite in the Outaouais region.
