They support a wide range of applications, including exploration targeting, geological interpretation, mineral resource estimation, and geotechnical, hydrogeological, and geometallurgical studies. These models are built primarily from drillhole data, with surface mapping, geochemical, and geophysical data providing additional constraints and context for the geological interpretation.<\/p>\n This one-day workshop will introduce participants to the main types of 3D geological models, the data required to build them, and the workflows and methodologies used to develop a robust digital 3D geological model. Particular emphasis will be placed on drill core data acquisition and on best practices for maximizing the value of information collected from drill core. Topics will include geological and lithological logging, structural data, geochemical assays, and core photography. The principal geological modeling approaches will be presented, along with guidance on their applicability to different project objectives and geological settings.<\/p>\n The presenters will cover both established, industry-standard workflows and innovative approaches that leverage emerging technologies. A series of practical modules will illustrate these methodologies through real-world examples and case studies.
