It gives them a chance to publicly present their research by displaying a poster in the exhibition space and giving a five-minute oral presentation assessed by a panel of judges.<\/p>\n<p>The themes addressed by these flash presentations provide a window on the research being carried out at Quebec universities or dealing with Quebec geology, and reflect geoscience in all its diversity.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with SOQUEM, Qu\u00e9bec Mines + \u00c9nergie will award five scholarships: two each for doctoral students and master\u2019s students (based on their performance in the flash presentations), and the \u201cAudience Choice Award\u201d for the highest rated poster displayed in the exhibition space.<\/p>\n<p>Come meet the next generation of geoscientists and see how their research is advancing knowledge on geological systems, mineral resources, and environmental issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This session will consist of flash presentations by master\u2019s and doctoral students participating in the Geoscience Research Challenge.
