Audrey Turcotte is a biologist who graduated from the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Chicoutimi (B.Sc.) in 2004. During her studies, Audrey worked as a research assistant at the university\u2019s plant ecology laboratory. In 2007, the institution awarded her a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Renewable Resources. She then began doctoral studies in Environmental Sciences before being recruited in 2010 by the Minist\u00e8re des Transports, where she worked as a research advisor. In 2014, she returned to forestry at the Secteur des operations r\u00e9gionales of the Minist\u00e8re des Ressources naturelles et des For\u00eats as a biologist, where she coordinated the subject of species at risk. In 2018, she continued her professional path at the Direction de la protection des for\u00eats as a conservation project manager.<\/p>\r\n
In 2024, she joined the Direction de la recherche foresti\u00e8re as a botanist and associate curator of the Herbier du Qu\u00e9bec. Her work focuses on the floristics and taxonomy of the vascular flora of Qu\u00e9bec and eastern North America, as well as on the conservation and enhancement of collections. She is particularly interested in the knowledge and protection of plant species at risk, especially in forest environments, as well as the introduction of exotic species. She contributes to the Herbier\u2019s website and collections database.
