Denise Tousignant is a biologist who graduated from Laval University (B.\u00a0Sc., 1990) and from McGill University (M.\u00a0Sc., 1993).<\/p>\r\n\r\n
From 1993 to 1998, she was a scientific advisor for the Saint-Modeste forest nursery. Her work, especially the part aimed at improving the \u201cBouturath\u00e8que\u201d system, introduced her to conifer cutting propagation and nursery production.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
In 1998, she joined the Direction de la recherche foresti\u00e8re (DRF) as a researcher on vegetative propagation, and pursued her research on cutting and seedling production techniques for forest species.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
In 2010, she joined the DRF\u2019s transfer team as scientific editor. She obtained a certificate in writing practices from T\u00c9LUQ University in 2015, a certification for editing in French from Editors Canada in 2018 and another for scientific edition from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences in 2021.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
