Pierre P\u00e9rinet is a forest engineer who graduated from Laval University (B.\u00a0Sc.,\u00a01977, M.Sc.,\u00a01983).<\/p>\r\n

From 1983 to 1989, he successively worked as a botanist at the Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Jardin botanique, as production manager at Rhizotec inc., as a researcher at the Petawawa National Forestry Institute and as project manager at the P\u00e9pini\u00e8re foresti\u00e8re de Berthier.<\/p>\r\n

From 1989 until his retirement, he worked at the Direction de la recherche foresti\u00e8re as a researcher, first on tree cutting propagation and on indoor seed orchards (1989-1998), then on genetic improvement of poplars (1998-2019).<\/p>\r\n
