He is also a forest engineer since 2019.\r\n\r\nHe is a researcher at the Direction de la recherche foresti\u00e8re since January 2019 in the silviculture and yield of natural forests team, working on hardwoods stands. His current research focuses on the natural and artificial regeneration of commercial species of northern hardwoods such as yellow birch, red oak and sugar maple.\r\n\r\nAs a graduate student, his research first focused on the dendrogeochemistry of sugar maple in relation to soil acidity, then on the growth of hybrid poplar according to soil fertility and competition. In 2011, he worked at the Consortium en foresterie Gasp\u00e9sie-les-\u00celes on areas for wood production intensification, more specifically on the choice of species, planting sites and economic profitability.\r\n\r\nFrom 2011 to 2015, he worked in Germany as a postdoctoral researcher on biodiversity (roots and mortality in multispecies plantations). Then, from 2015 to 2018, he worked for T\u00c9LUQ University on the fertilization of hybrid poplar plantations and on mining site revegetation.\r\n
