However, little is known about the effects of regeneration methods on root morphology and growth. Here, root ingrowth cores were used to assess root traits (diameter, dry weight, length, surface area, volume, specific root area, and specific root length) in clearcuts or partial cuts, both with and without competing vegetation control, as well as in an uncut control.
