Road implantation features<\/p>\n<h1>Section 72<\/h1>\n<p>The soil may not be removed over a width greater than the width of the right-of-way of the road during the construction, improvement, repair or maintenance of a road. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/drapeau-texte.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"disposition\">\n<h2>1<\/h2>\n<h4>Objectives<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To maintain the presence of stands in the growth stage<\/li>\n<li>To reduce loss of productive forest areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Explanations<\/h4>\n<p>Required material removal must be done within the rights-of-way provided for in <a href=\"\/en\/RADF\/guide\/chapter-v\/section-71\/\" title=\"section 71\">section 71<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Additional information<\/h4>\n<p>A person who wishes to remove soil outside the right-of-way must sign a lease to mine surface mineral substances with the Minister responsible for the <a title=\"This link opens a new window\" href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/ShowDoc\/cs\/M-13.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mining Act <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/lien_externe.png\" alt=\"This link opens a new window\" \/><\/a>\u00a0(chapter M-13.1) and comply with the provisions of the Act.\u00a0Any site from which unconsolidated material is extracted that is partially or completely outside the right-of-way is considered to be a sandpit under this Regulation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Art072_anglais-web.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Removal of soil, organic debris and materials from the right-of-way of a road\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Art072_anglais-web.jpg\" alt=\"Removal of soil, organic debris and materials from the right-of-way of a road\" width=\"380\" height=\"285\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Figure 72<\/span> Removal of soil, organic debris and materials from the right-of-way of a road<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The soil, organic debris and materials removed during the construction, improvement or repair of a road may not be deposited outside the right-of-way.
