Special provisions applicable to bridges or culverts with an arch<\/p>\n<h1>Section 109<\/h1>\n<p>Every person authorized to build or improve a bridge must, in addition to the conditions concerning bridges provided for in <a href=\"https:\/\/mrnf.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/RADF\/guide\/chapter-v\/section-108\/\">section 108<\/a>, meet the conditions relating to bridges provided for in <a href=\"https:\/\/mrnf.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/RADF\/guide\/schedules\/schedule-12\/\">Schedule 12<\/a>. The foregoing also applies to a person who repairs a bridge.\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/drapeau-texte.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"disposition\">\n<h2>1<\/h2>\n<h4>Objectives<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure the lifespan of a road, bridge or culvert<\/li>\n<li>To ensure the safety of forest road users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Explanations<\/h4>\n<p>A person who builds, improves or repairs a bridge must comply with the conditions applicable to bridges that are specified in <a href=\"https:\/\/mrnf.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/RADF\/guide\/schedules\/schedule-12\/\">Schedule 12<\/a>, in addition to those set out in <a href=\"https:\/\/mrnf.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/RADF\/guide\/chapter-v\/section-108\/\">section 108<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that in some situations, the conditions specified in Schedule 12 may apply only to the elements of the bridge being repaired or improved.
