Section 43<\/h1>\n

During a forest development activity, the discharge of earth is prohibited in an open peat bog, a swamp, a marsh, a lake or a watercourse.\"\"<\/p>\n

  • To preserve the integrity of an aquatic, wetland or riparian environment<\/li>\n
  • To avoid carrying sediment into an aquatic, wetland or riparian environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    This section does not apply to the discharge of earth during the construction, improvement or repair of a road where those activities are carried out in accordance with this Regulation, except the portion of a snowmobile trail crossing a lake or its ecotone.\"\"<\/p>\n

      Explanations<\/h4>\n

      In cases where a road is constructed, improved or repaired in compliance with this Regulation, earth may be discharged into an open peat bog, a marsh, a swamp, a lake or a watercourse, except for the portion of a snowmobile trail crossing a lake or its ecotone. In this portion of the trail, an ice bridge \u2013 in other words, a work composed solely of frozen water \u2013 must be built.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
