In that case, only one round trip of the logging machine in the watercourse is then allowed on the site of the installation and no work may be done from the bed of the watercourse.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/drapeau-texte.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"disposition\">\n<h2>1<\/h2>\n<h4>Objectives<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To preserve the integrity of a wildlife habitat<\/li>\n<li>To avoid disturbing the bed of a lake or watercourse<\/li>\n<li>To avoid carrying sediment into an aquatic, wetland or riparian environment<\/li>\n<li>To avoid contaminating the forest<\/li>\n<li>To preserve the integrity of an aquatic, wetland or riparian environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>The travel of logging machines is also allowed on the bed of a watercourse to carry out work to install coffer dams and structures to temporarily divert the watercourse, in accordance with <a href=\"\/en\/RADF\/guide\/chapter-v\/section-93\/\">section 93<\/a>.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/drapeau-texte.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"disposition\">\n<h2>2<\/h2>\n<h4>Objectives<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To preserve the integrity of a wildlife habitat<\/li>\n<li>To avoid disturbing the bed of a lake or watercourse<\/li>\n<li>To avoid carrying sediment into an aquatic, wetland or riparian environment<\/li>\n<li>To avoid contaminating the forest<\/li>\n<li>To preserve the integrity of an aquatic, wetland or riparian environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>This section does not apply to the travel of logging machines used to carry out vegetation control activities by the holder of a forestry permit issued for public utility works. However, passing through the fish habitat requires the prior issue of the authorizations required under the <a title=\"This link opens a new window\" href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/ShowDoc\/cs\/C-61.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/lien_externe.png\" alt=\"This link opens a new window\" \/><\/a>\u00a0(chapter C-61.1). <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/drapeau-texte.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"disposition\">\n<h2>3<\/h2>\n<h4>Objective<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To allow certain forest development activities in or near a particular place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Explanations<\/h4>\n<p>A person holding a forestry permit issued for public utility work and is authorized to carry out vegetation control activities may travel with a logging machine on the bed of a watercourse when travelling for the purpose of carrying out the work (e.g. in the right-of-way of electricity transmission lines). However, under section 128.7 de la <a title=\"This link opens a new window\" href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/ShowDoc\/cs\/C-61.1#se:128_7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/lien_externe.png\" alt=\"This link opens a new window\" \/><\/a>\u00a0(chapter C-61.1), the person must first obtain authorization to travel on the bed of a watercourse that is a fish habitat. If this authorization is not obtained, the person must build a means of crossing the watercourse.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Additional information<\/h4>\n<p>The <a title=\"This link opens a new window\" href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/ShowDoc\/cs\/A-18.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sustainable Forest Development Act <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/lien_externe.gif\" alt=\"This link opens a new window\" \/><\/a>\u00a0states that a forestry permit is required to carry out certain forest development activities in forests in the domain of the State (<a href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/ShowDoc\/cs\/A-18.1#se:73\">section 73<\/a>).
