The numeric information layers used in forest planning contain the most up-to-date map data on Native portage trails, Native campgrounds and Native gathering or sojourn areas recognized by Native band councils.<\/p>\n
Places that are not indicated in the numeric information layers cannot be taken into consideration when planning forestry work and are therefore not protected by the provisions of this Regulation. However, the consultations on the integrated forest development plans give participants an opportunity to express their concerns about the potential impacts of the proposed activities for these places, and may, where necessary, give rise to particular protection agreements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
