Josée Méthot

Josée Méthot is an engineer who completed a master’s degree in business administration at HEC Montréal of the Université de Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at McGill University. For more than 25 years, she has held senior management positions with non-profit and municipal organizations, including the Centre d’excellence de Montréal en réhabilitation de sites and Réseau Environnement. Through these positions, she has developed a good knowledge of environmental and sustainable development issues. Since October 2012, she has held the position of president and CEO of the Québec Mining Association, an organization whose mission is to proactively promote, support and develop a responsible, committed and innovative Québec mineral industry.

Josée Méthot is a certified corporate director (ASC, C. Dir.) and sits on the board of directors of the CNESST, the Institut national des mines, MISA Group and the Conseil patronal de l’environnement du Québec. She also sits on the Assemblée des partenaires du Plan Nord, as well as on numerous working committees set up by the Québec government.
