Josée Méthot

An engineer, Josée Méthot holds an MBA from the École des HEC at the Université de Montréal, as well as a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from McGill University.
For over 25 years, she has held senior management positions with non-profit and municipal organizations, including the Montréal Centre for Excellence in Brownfields Rehabilitation and Réseau Environnement. These positions have enabled her to develop a thorough understanding of environmental and sustainable development issues.

Since October 2012, she has held the position of President and CEO of the Quebec Mining Association, an organization whose mission is to proactively promote, support and develop a responsible, committed and innovative Quebec mineral industry.

Josée Méthot is a certified corporate director and sits on the board of directors of the CNESST, the Institut national des mines du Québec, the MISA Group and the Quebec Business Council on the Environment. She also sits on the Assembly of Partners of the Société du Plan Nord, as well as on numerous working committees set up by the gouvernement du Québec.
